The Award – ‘Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Purskar’ (PMRBP) are given to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievements as a tribute to the great valour and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, younger sons of the tenth Sikh Guru, Govind Singh Ji. The recipients of PMRBP shall be declared every year on December 26 on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. The awards are given to children in the fields of Bravery, Sports, Social Service, Science & Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture and Innovation, which deserve recognition at the national level. The maximum number of Awards would be 25 and each Award will carry a Medal, citation and a Certificate.
